Right now we’re generating almost one lead per day on LinkedIn alone. In fact, you’re not creating enough social media content to generate the number of inbound leads you want from social media, and you need to start putting out more content.
In this video, I’m going to share with you what we did to greatly increase the volume of our social media content and what it has done for us as far as inbound lead generation is concerned.
One of the biggest questions I get from insurance professionals is when is too much content? Too much content? Well, the answer is how bad do you want the business? You see, social media platforms today are too noisy for you to ever be concerned about creating too much content. The truth is you are not creating enough content right now to get a prospect to raise their hand so you can generate an inbound lead.
This became very clear to me a couple of months ago when I was watching a video from one of my mentors, Alex Formosa, and in the video he was talking about how his company acquisition Dotcom ten X, the volume of social media content it was creating at the time. They were putting out 8 to 10 pieces of content a week, he said.
We are going to go to 80 pieces of content every single week, and their results are media. Italy follow the number of inbound leads they were generating from their social media platforms skyrocketed. So I challenged us to do the same. Now I don’t have the same scale and the size of a team that Alex or Jose has. So we decided we were going to double our social media content every single week.
At the time, we were putting about putting out about 20 to 25 pieces of content across Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. And I said, We are going to double that. We are going to put out 45 to 50 pieces of social media content across all of those five platforms. And within a matter of weeks, we started seeing the results.
In fact, right now we’re generating almost one lead per day on LinkedIn alone. It works. You see, in creating an increase in the volume of the social media content, we are creating, I uncovered a little sales formula I want to share with you, and that is value multiplied by volume equals sales velocity. What do I mean? Well, if you are bringing enough value in the content you’re creating for your prospects and you are putting off putting out enough content, you’re going to increase the number of leads you are creating, which is going to increase your velocity to that scale.
Now let’s talk about value. When it comes to creating social media content. Are you putting enough value in your content? Another mentor of mine, Rory Vaden, taught me that if you are going to create content for social media, you’ve got to bring the best stuff first. You got to share the best right away. In fact, when we create our content here at Complete game Consulting, our goal is to teach you how to do what we teach.
Almost to the point you could do it yourself, just like I’m recording this video right now. That is value. First and foremost, you have to increase the value you are putting in your content. Now, the second half of that formula is volume. The more value you create and the more often you create it, you are going to increase your inbound leads.
We doubled our social media content output over the last two months and the results have followed. Are you creating enough social media content right now If you’re only putting out 1 to 2 pieces of content a week? Hate to tell you it’s not enough. You’ve got to increase the volume. You see today, this is a game of math.
The more value you bring, the more volume you created with you are going to generate leads. So as you look ahead to 2024, as you put together your game plan to hit your sales goals, you need to start thinking of social media content at the same level you are with cold calling emails and networking. Right now, Creating social media content is as much of a prospecting activity as all three of those other activities you have been doing for years and aren’t as easy or effective as they used to be.
So that’s my challenge to you. What can you do to create content next year that brings a ton of value to your ideal prospect and how can you up the volume of content you are creating using platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter? To be truthful, we really focus on YouTube and LinkedIn here, a complete game consulting pick the platforms that work best for you.
But I will tell you, if you are in the business to business space, you are selling to other businesses. Focus on LinkedIn, focus on YouTube. If you’re in the B2C space, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, that can be great platforms as well. But at the end of the day, the math has proven out the more value you bring in your content, the more often you do it and you increase the volume of the content you are creating, you are going to get more prospects to raise their hand.
You’re going to increase the number of leads you are creating inbound from social media. You’re going to absolutely blow through your sales goals next year.
Business is no longer about who you know. Business is about who knows you. In a noisy industry like we’re in gang, you got to get people to know who you are.
